One of my goals on the bucket list I published at the beginning of the year was to always have fresh cut flowers on the dinner table. I’m holding myself to that. Sometimes I buy a bouquet at the florist, sometimes I pick up something from the old lady sitting at the roundabout, and if I’m completely out of time, I run out and bring in a few stems from outside. Candles and flowers really dress up the table, turn the house into a home and create a good atmosphere when we sit down and eat together around them. It’s good to talk to each other this way!
It turns out, I’m not alone in thinking this way. Two super creative girls came up with the idea to open a store for a few days where people could jump in on their way somewhere for a wild flower bouquet. They could buy one as a gift, put it on the table, or wherever…I’m writing about the Wild Flower Bar wildflower pop-up ‘slow life’ concept store.
The debuting, slow life concept flower studio was dreamed up by Kata and Timi, who believe in nature, the wild and a bit of dirt, and they’re happiest when they can combine these ingredients into bouquets and wreaths with locally sourced materials. The girls pick some of the flowers, greens and branches themselves, and source the rest from local producers, flowers farms and gardeners, to bring the ‘farm-to-table’ spirit to bouquets, dinner tables or weddings through the flowers. Their goal is to smuggle the diversity of nature into everyday urban lives through natural and timeless floral compositions.
This pop-up store isn’t a one time thing. Mimi and Kata continue their dream, they will gladly take on any floral styling work, decorate events and restaurants. Now anyone can walk into their pop-up store and get beautiful affordable floral decorations created for their home. Because the girls work at affordabe prices. Wild Flower Bar wreathes are between 5-7000 Ft and flower bouquets are only 3,000Ft! You can find more info on their soon launching website! Until then, check out their pop-up store!
