UJB | Closely Inspired by Plants

I haven’t shown you guys my plants in a while! The last time you saw them was in the fall, but since then not a lot has happened with them. They moved back into the living room and hibernated until winter broke its spell. They got some water, but no extra minerals. I started paying attention to them again last weekend, trimmed what had to be trimmed, repotted them and started adding plant food for the first time this year!

After that they modeled for me one-by-one. I got really close up to them with my iPhone camera. I’ve never photographed them from this angle, and it was a new experience with fresh inspiration. The regulated order of nature is absolutely unparalleled!

This month’s UJB post was all about the details, and getting up close to your plant. I thought this was a fantastic idea when I first read about it! Cactuses and succulents have an amazing geometric order, it’s not by accident that these plants are amazing to me and I get really inspired by them!

Of course some of them are as irregular as these are regular. The kind of irregular that I could never match in my own creation, and therefore fills me with wonder. The messy tangle of branches and their unpredictability is enchanting!
